Born in 2001, with the layoff of her husband from a closing local business, Jennifer looked into the future and wondered how they could feed there 1, soon to be 2 small children. She knew she could cook, and had worked in some food service before, and decided to try in a broken down "Little Adobe" building, that was afore destined to be torn down.

Putting the last savings they had into fixing it up and bringing it up to code, The Little Adobe opened seating 14 on a good day, and was frequently packed. It was almost immediately too small, but John & Jennifer spent the next 5 years saving most everything they earned to expand into the former restaurant next door, which needed substantial work.

The Little Adobe expanded into "The Adobe" in 2006, and continually strives to offer everything-baked goods, delicious foods, homemade goodies-from scratch. They are continually expanding, and now proudly offer stellar catering, lots of prepackaged goodies, and entire line of site made fudge, truffles and other candies, as well as recently opened another endeavor, The Adobe Does Cafe, 6 miles away. (www.adobedoesbbq.com) John & Jennifer Swenson, their children and their staff attribute their huge following to having the BEST customers ever, and a wonderfully supportive community. Everyday, they are grateful to offer hospitality to folks from 100's of countries, economic demographics and all walks of life. You are cordially invited to stop by, and let it be their pleasure to serve you!
