Our Story

Delicious homemade goodness

great food here

Established in 2001, after the layoff of her husband from a closing local business, Jennifer looked into the future and wondered how they could feed their one, soon to be two small children. She knew she could cook, and had worked in some food service before and when an opportunity presented itself, she decided to take a chance and open up in a humble, broken down "Little Adobe" building, that was destined to be torn down.

Putting the last savings they had into fixing it up and bringing it up to code, The Little Adobe opened up for seating 14 on a good day, and was frequently packed. It was almost immediately too small, but John & Jennifer spent the next 5 years saving everything they earned to expand into the restaurant next door, which needed substantial work.

The Little Adobe expanded into "The Adobe" in 2006, and continually strives to offer everything comforting -baked goods, delicious foods, homemade goodies from scratch. They are frequently expanding, and now proudly offer stellar catering, lots of prepackaged goodies, and an entire line of site made fudge, truffles and other candies! The newest endeavor was no small task, as they recently opened at a secondary location right in the heart of Reserve - The Adobe Does Cafe, 6 miles away. (www.adobedoesbbq.com)
